Group Accommodation in the DrakensbergGroup accommodation in the Drakensberg is available at most resorts with chalets but most chalets sleep only 2 to 8 people. This is not always ideal for a group gathering, be it family and friends wanting to spend time together or a leadership course, as it means moving from one chalet to another to be together and eating together. The Barnhouse at Drakensberg Mountain Retreat is ideal for groups of up to 25 people - all under one roof. The name is actually the Zondertwyfel Barnhouse but is usually referred to the Barnhouse.
The Barnhouse has 5 en-suite rooms with 12 single beds. Along the wing is a beautiful indoor garden which helps to keep the warmth in.
Between the original shed and the en-suite wing is a large indoor flower filled and grassed garden with an indoor pool. 
There are 4 dormitory rooms with 13 single beds. Guests in these rooms use the 2 ablutions within the same building. The open-plan dining and kitchen area as well as the enclosed veranhda make the accommodation ideal for groups. Regardless of the weather, there is pleanty of space and cosy fireplaces to make it really comfortable.
Arttached is also a large function room which is ideal for groups interested in holding workshops, conferences, leadership courses, small weddings and celebrations.
The Barnhouse offers a self catering or a dinner, bed and breakfast rate. A minimum of 10 people is required for a booking.
