Drakensberg Retreat Accommodation

The only Drakensberg retreat accommodation and Retreat Centre in the Northern Drakensberg is at Drakensberg Mountain Retreat.

Due to the incredible setting, peace and stunning views of the Drakensberg, it is ideal Retreat Centre and Drakensberg Retreat accommodation.

The Zonderntwyfel Barnhouse is usually used by Retreat Groups as it has the accommodation and large function room all under one roof, but some prefer to use the Vergezient Lodge, which is more up-market. If the retreat group is very big, as the Isaac Schapiro group always is, then both accommodation venues are used.

The retreat accommodarion in this Drakensberg Retreat Centre, consists of 5 en-suite rooms with 12 single beds. Then there are also 3 dormitory type rooms with 10 single beds. They use the 2 ablution blocks within the building.

Between the wing of en-suite rooms and the kitchen, dining and living area is a large grassed, flower filled conservatory with an indoor pool.

The function room for retreat activites and meetings is very large, measuring about 7m x 15m and is light and airy. It has a fireplace for early morning and evening activities. Some yoga mats and floor blankets are also availabel.

The front verandah has the most incredible view of the Drakensberg, from the Northern Drakensberg right to Cathkin Peak in the Central Drakensberg. Leading off the verandah is a small meeting room.

All meals and teas are catered for according to the needs of the Retreat group and linen is provided.

Drakensberg Mountain Retreat is growing in popularity as a Retreat Centre and the retreat accommodation is more than adaquate. Some groups are used to very simple retreat accommodation. This retreat accommodation offers much more than comfortable accommodation.
